I know I said I'd put up some new work. But it hasn't been of anything animated. I feel I'm loosing my want to do any so I've taken up some photography in the mean time. It's not too bad, it's better than some I've taken in the past so I've popped them on here.

I cleaned up my deviant art submissions as well today. A lot of them were old work so were either deleted or put in my scrapbook if people still want to look at them. Personally if they got deleted it's because I wasn't happy with them, if they went into my scrapbook I had some nostalgic attachment to them so they got to stay but only in there. I wanted my gallery to just have what I consider my better/best work in so hence the clean up.

Hopefully I'll have some more photography stuff up in the next few months. I'm trying to get to grips with photo editing and am also asking for a Lumix G Micro camera for christmas to help me try and keep my artistic flare.

Well, haven't written on here in a while. I've moved up north now, I'm currently residing in Derbyshire rather than Hamp/Berkshire and I've got a job at Cineworld. Not the uber-animation job I was hoping for but never you mind. It pays.

Art. Well, not much of that going on but lately I've had "The urge" to do something so my day off tomorrow is probably going to involve a trip to WHsmiths/The works to get some supplies as all of mine have dried up unfortunatly, or got broken during my twicemove in June. I've been wanting to start some more drawing and improve a bit as I'm a bit lacking.

I finally got my rat babies, Maisy and Lola. There would have been a third, Dora, but she escaped when I went to pick them up. I'm trying to get my OH to let me get a third at the moment, he's gradually wearing down I think, especially lately with a little dumbo I've been after.

Well, that's it really. I hope to put some work up soon so don't worry.

Showreel etc

After much faff on youtube about the music I've managed to upload my show reel finally.

This is an interim one for the time being just until I've finished my final project, although at the end there is a little portion of my chair scuttling across.

etc
On other topics, I've been applying for work and have been rejected by 8 out of my 15 applications so far, mostly because of the economic problems and companies having to let people go or just aren't recruiting at the moment. Keep getting the usual "We'll keep you on file should anything come up. Which I've had so many times in my life it usually means "We'll not keep you on file because when we recruit, if at all, we'll make an advert to see if we can get anyone better.

:bulletblue: Old/New Work

I'm sure some have noticed the Old New work that's appeared on here lately. I got hold of "Realistic Architectural Visualization with 3DS max and Mental Ray" by Roger Cusson and Jamie Cardoso a few weeks ago and have been slowly working through it in some attempt to up my skills a little for my show reel. That said, I've had to do a lot of rendering for Tuesday in which I'll be having to take in all my work (which at the moment is about... er... 3 pieces) that I've got to sort for my show reel. I'm concerned because they're all very short pieces and I know I'm going to end up re-rendering them but meh.

On another note. The Self Elected is going well:

There's the journal link for anyone that fancies reading it other than me and my tutors.
Will have some self elected 3D work up soon I recon as production starts on the 16th.

Also, another little edit. That I'm very pleased to see:

Thank you so much for the 5000 page views! It's really encouraging to see more people looking at my work :)

Just thought I'd add this journal to my DA as a link so people can see what I'm currently up to as I won't be adding any new work until I've got some substantial stuff for my self elected.

Above is the link to my 'Redesign' project's reflective journal where I'll be updating frequently on work I've done and research and ideas for my self elected project.

Enjoy.
